What is gratitude? Cicero stated, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” Expressing happiness and ensuring the happiness of others benefits our mental and physical health. As the we step into the holiday season, it is the time of year to think about loved ones, past experiences, and to acknowledge our past and what we are truly grateful for. One goes through life with many different experiences, stemming from generational trauma to events in our lives that left us unscathed and at times not. Our experiences molds us into who we are today. As we continue through what is “life”, we find that everyday we are everchanging. My motto, always learning, always growing. A sentiment, that holds true for me and for you.
What are we Grateful for?
Given what has been happening in this world lately, especially in our respective country, let’s take a look at our own histories, our own triumphs and share what we are grateful for. What are the one or two things we plan for this holiday season? What are we grateful for? Feel free to share if you called to.
I love this!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am so grateful for this year. Grateful for this community and so honored to be building it all with you.
The 2 things I plan to continue this holiday season are
* take deep breaths and set my intention everyday to help me decompress and relax
* meditate before going to sleep to help calm my nerves
Mental health is extremely important, it’s imperative we do even the simplest gestures for ourselves.
I’m truly grateful for my daughters, without them life would be harder to bear. Watching them grow into healthy and prosperous women is the greatest gift from the universe.
I am also grateful for this community and the connections I’ve made already. Looking forward to seeing us grow.
I am grateful for a lot of things but let me share one. I am grateful for this community! This group has played a huge part to my growth and healing!
